Sleeping On The Moon

We all know it but I will say it again. Sometimes the simplest ideas can be the most wonderful and inspiring. Sleeping on the moon during a weekend afternoon... How divine.
When Ollie my fiance asked me on our first date he said "Would I like to walk on the moon with him?" I thought it was a little kooky so I replied "yes". Next thing I knew we were walking into the Imax theater and putting on oversized 3D glasses. The lights went down and we were on the moon.
Have a lovely weekend and see you on Monday.

The Snooze Adventures

I've been having some pretty crazy dreams lately. I don't know about you but I love getting my zzz's for the free adventures, dramas, and weirdness my head comes up with while I'm asleep. I call it the snooze adventures. The fun is waking up in the morning and interpreting the dream on Dream Moods. Los Angeles based photographer Gregg Segal has gone a step further and decided to tell his dreams through picture. If anyone is an Editor of a magazine right now.... book me so I can work with Gregg.

To see or receive a teddy bear in your dream, suggests a regression to an earlier state. It symbolizes lost security, comfort, companionship and implies that you need to be reassured and taken care of. You may be reminiscing about early childhood memories. Alternatively, a teddy bear signifies an immature relationship

To dream that you are a superhero, represents your above-average talents, ideas, and other hidden abilities that you may not realize you possessed.

To dream that you are naked, denotes the fear of being found out and exposed about your activities and misjudgment. To dream that you are taking a bath, signifies a cleansing of your outer and inner self and a washing away of difficult times. This dream may also be symbolic of ridding yourself of old ideas, notions, opinions, and other negativities. Your dream may be pointing toward forgiveness and letting go.

To dream that you are building sand castles, suggests that you are not building yourself a solid foundation or something that will last. The dream indicates delusions of grandeur.

Time For Bed

It's not always easy to get our daily dose of sleep but taking bedding seriously can help. I don't think there is anything better than heavily textured white linen that will last you for years. One of the most enjoyable sleeps I've ever had was when visiting Santa Monica's luxury Viceroy Hotel wrapped up in their designer Italian sheets. So soft, cool and luxurious on the skin.

These days, consumers think the higher the thread count the better the sheet. Thread count can be virtually meaningless, because some manufacturers do tricks like use two-ply yarn to up the count of threads per square inch, and the feel of a sheet depends on other factors such as the materials used to make it. Make sure before you buy to rub the corner of the sheet against your cheek to test which linen feels the most soothing.

The long term consequences of too little sleep include obesity, memory loss and lower IQ. There's been a lot of bravado about doing without sleep - all that extra work and partying you can do. But after looking at these pictures by Lotte why would you want to?

Acting Out At Home!

Let's face it - some days it doesn't matter what your house looks like - life can just be sh**t!

Behind Closed Doors

Do you know what I love when I shut my front door behind me when I get in from work or play? I finally have some privacy where the world can't judge me and I don't have to please the world. I can walk around the house naked, I can have an afternoon nap, I can leave a light on for too long and I can sit and watch a very uncool television programme while eating my dinner. I don't have to be perfect I can simply be me. Photographer Louise Ingalls Sturges has captured this thought beautifully. You need to check out her website! Tell us what your secret indulgence is behind your closed door.
